A tanker truck blew a tire after it was struck by gunfire on Interstate 205 in Portland, Oregon, on Tuesday morning.
According to Fox-12 Oregon, a black SUV with tinted windows pulled up next to the moving big rig and fired several rounds at the truck before speeding off.
One of the shots struck the truck’s tire, leading to a blow out.
The driver was able to pull over safely and was not hurt. He told police that he did not see the shooter.
Officers discovered evidence at the scene of the incident that were consistent with the driver’s statement. Police do not have a motive, but don’t believe that it was a road rage incident.
