A garbage truck driver in Oregon recently got national attention after he found a flag on on top of a trash bin he was emptying.
The flag looked like it was meant for the garbage but instead of throwing it away, he laid it out and folded in military style and put it away in his truck.
The best part it, he did this when he thought no eyeballs were on him, just out of respect for his country and it’s flag.
However, a nearby homeowner saw the act in progress and was so touched by it that she decide to film it.
She then posted the video on the company’s Facebook page with the message: “No one else saw this going on except me and God. Thank you Mr. Garbage man. May God bless you.”
The story immediately went viral and the driver was featured on national news for his patriotic deed.
When asked about the incident, the driver says that that flag represents sacrifice and hope and “since so many people have died for that, the least I could do is pick it up.”
