The Nevada State Police (NSP) responded to major crash involving a fully loaded dump truck on I-80 on Monday.
NSP responded to the crash around 9:15 a.m. on July 21, 2025, on eastbound I-80, east of Vista Blvd. in Sparks.
Troopers said that a fully loaded dump truck overturned and destroyed over 200 feet of guardrail.
Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported.
The early investigation points to a steer tire blowout as the cause of the crash, according to MyNews4.
The incident resulted in major travel delays in the area as crews worked to recover the dump truck and replace the damaged guardrail.
