A beer truck driver was honored by his company on Tuesday for his heroic actions during a mugging late last month.
Admiral Beverage truck driver Aaron Quinones was making a delivery to a CVS in Albuquerque, New Mexico back in September when he noticed an elderly woman in distress – an armed man was attempting to mug her.
Quinones quickly jumped into action, rushing to the woman’s side despite the danger and talking the man down before calling police, who then diffused the situation and took the attempted robber into custody.
“Absolutely incredible. The guy had a gun…We’re so proud of him. Our ownership flew in because we wanted to have a party for Aaron and celebrate his success and his courage,” said Admiral Beverage President Greg Brown to KRQE News.
Admiral Beverage threw a party for Quinones on Tuesday night, honoring him for his brave actions and even serving dinner to those in attendance.
