A YouTuber released this dash cam footage of a terrifying crash involving a truck and several vehicles.
The clip was filmed on the driver’s rear camera and shows the truck plowing into a line of cars at highway speeds. It happened on Monday evening on Interstate 94 in Gurnee, Illinois.
Mike Caplan, of local Fox-32 news, posted the clip on Facebook with the following comment.

What happens when a semi driver isn’t paying attention to slowed traffic on the tri state near grand avenue (132 in Gurnee)? Watch this and see for yourself. This happened Monday late afternoon. That area is EXTREMELY dangerous and has been the site of many accidents as people slow to exit onto westbound Grand ave. The ramps were supposedly “improved” but the biggest problem there remains inefficient and inadequate flow from northbound 94 to westbound 132 and the ramp work that was done there was mere window dressing. I use this exchange five days a week at least. Lucky I haven’t been blown up like those poor folks who got destroyed by that semi driver.
According to the Chicago Tribune, 8 people were injured with one in critical condition. An investigation is underway by the Illinois State Police.
