Crash Involving Two Tractor Trailers Closes Both Sides Of US 58

A major crash involving two tractor trailers shut down both sides of US 58 early this morning.

It happened in Southhampton County, Virginia at approximately 5 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21st.

According to 10 On Your Side, two semi trucks were involved in the wreck. One of the trucks suffered major damage to its cab. It is still unclear what caused the collision.

Officials say there were injuries in the crash, and at least one person trapped inside a vehicle.

The extent of the injuries are not currently known. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.

As of 11:30 a.m. (ET), the highway was still shut down in both directions.
