A truck driver recently published a dash cam video of a motorist making an ill advised U-turn off a highway entrance ramp — directly into the hood of his truck.
The video was taken by trucker Thomas Peterson and posted to his Facebook page.
In the footage, a van merges onto the highway (and fails to observe the posted yield sign), then makes a sudden u-turn on the road.
The van then smashes into Peterson’s oncoming semi, causing shattered glass to fly everywhere and significant damage to both vehicles.
It’s unclear if it was just a really bad (and reckless) attempt of a u-turn, suicide-by-truck, or insurance fraud. But what is clear is that yet another trucker was saved from blame by a trusty dash cam.
