A Facebook user recently uploaded the terrifying clip, showing a tractor trailer sliding down a slippery highway and colliding with a van.
The video was shared by Fred Summers on January 19th, and took place on Highway 50 in Holden, Missouri.
“Slick ride home today. Watched 20 some cars slide off the road in the same place. After this truck things got scary,” the Facebook post said.
“I was coming from the opposite direction and just stopped to watch. It was like a ballet of vehicles rounding the curve, each going into a slide, some spinning around and around, some sliding into the ditches. Most drove right out of the ditch but as traffic picked up the cars starting piling up. I ran across the highway trying to get people out of their cars and out of the way. I wish everyone could see this video and realize to slow down when the weather is bad,” Summers added.
Summers says he shared the video to remind drivers to exercise extra caution and slow down when traveling on icy roads.
