Body Of Trucker Who Disappeared From Georgia Truck Stop Found After Failed Day 1 Search

The body of a deceased truck driver was discovered in a Georgia truck stop on Wednesday afternoon, after police failed to locate his body during a search of the area on Tuesday evening.

According to the Newton Citizen, 57-year-old Lisle Eugene Harris of Terre Haute, Indiana, was reported missing around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, after his company noticed the rig’s GPS location hadn’t moved since 9 a.m.

Local police found the truck still running in a truck stop in Butts County, Georgia, on Tuesday evening, however the driver was not in the cab.

A second search was launched the following day.
