Body of murdered truck driver discovered in Washington truck stop

The body of a murdered truck driver was discovered inside a semi truck at a truck stop in Sumner, Washington.

The driver is believed to have parked at the truck stop, located on the 2300 block of 136th Avenue East, on Monday night. Police were called to the scene by an employee on Tuesday morning.

According to Q13 Fox, the victim was stabbed multiple times inside the cab of the semi trailer. The driver’s identity was not revealed, except that he was from out-of-state.

Local drivers say the area is poorly lit and can be dangerous at night.

Sumner police asked anyone with information to call 253-299-5680. An investigation is underway.
