At the blink of an eye, life can be changed forever.
For this unsuspecting truck driver, probably with a million concerns about, family, finances, the next load entering his rig, the last thing on his mind is getting struck by lighting.
But, that’s just what happened. Fortunately, the lighting did not take his life. This phenomenon of nature rarely hits people but when it does, tragedy usually follows.
The lighting bolt struck the truck’s radio antenna, went through the dashboard and into the male driver’s right shoulder and out of his body through his left arm, finally being grounded by the rear of the truck.
This driver was lucky, he only sustained minor burns and maybe a jilted view of nature. In the video you can actually see the smoke rise from the truck right after it’s hit. All the electronics were shot and the truck would not start right afterword.
So be safe out there, especially on a stormy day. Even if the odds are as slim as getting “struck by lightning”, this shows that anything can happen when you live life out on the road.
