
A crash that ripped apart three tractor trailers shut down a portion of Interstate 81 in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
The accident happened on May 22nd in Southampton Township, Pennsylvania at around 1:45 p.m.
According to Fox 43 News, a semi truck was traveling along Interstate 81 north in the left lane, a second semi truck was traveling in the right lane, and a third was traveling in the exit lane near mile marker 28 when the first semi truck suddenly turned into the second, striking the rear driver’s side of the second tractor trailer and pushing it into the third.
The wreck seriously damaged the three semi trucks, though the conditions of the drivers involved have not been released.
The incident shut down all northbound lanes of I-81 between exit 24 and exit 29 but has since been cleared.
The exact cause of the crash, as well as the conditions and identities of the drivers involved, have not yet been released.
