A truck driver crashed into an Interstate 65 overpass after making several bizarre Facebook posts early Monday morning.

The incident happened on August 21st on Interstate 65 in Louisville, Kentucky.

According to WAVE 3 News, at about 12:45 a.m. on Monday morning, local citizens began calling Kentucky State Police with concerns regarding the woman’s posts on social media.

The posts were made by 44-year-old truck driver Helen Jones.

In one Facebook post, Jones stated that she was being held hostage in her semi truck by a man who had explosives. In another Facebook live video, Jones announced that she would crash into the next bridge she saw.

Police tracked Jones’ truck and found it traveling on I-65 in Bullit County at around 1:30 a.m. Jones was driving her own truck when she was found and continued to drive even when police tried to stop the tractor trailer.

Jones then crashed into an overpass at Fern Valley Road, which “seemed to be intentional” reported the Kentucky State Police. Jones was the only person in the tractor trailer at the time of the crash.

The Louisville Metro Police Department explosives unit inspected the truck after it crashed but found no sign of explosives. Instead, it was discovered that the semi truck had been hauling boxes of books.

Jones was taken to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
