A video captured a big rig’s trailer being swept away by a flash flood.
The incident occurred over the weekend in Gainesville, Missouri.
In the video by Facebook user Reina Mccullough, the trailer can be seen drifting away as the current carries it past two semi-truck cabs, which were partially submerged in the water. It’s not clear if anyone was in the trucks, however ABC News reported that the trailer was empty.
The flooding was associated with what USA Today called “a wave of killer storms and tornadoes”. At least 15 people lost their lives due to the storms, which struck several other states, as well, including Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas.
The storm system has since moved east, resulting in hail and high winds in Ohio and Pennsylvania on Monday. There were also tornado watches in effect Monday in New York and Pennsylvania.
Below is footage of the trailer being swept away.
