In the last few years Volvo has released several viral videos and over-the-top marketing stunts.
They’ve let a hamster drive a truck, had Van Damme doing a split between two trucks, and pulled off some serious braking stunts. But their latest project is the most intriguing yet.
The company has released a short teaser clip highlighting their 2,400 horsepower truck with 4,425 pound-feet of torque. The truck, dubbed The Iron Knight, reportedly uses a Volvo D13 diesel engine with four turbochargers and weighs 9,920 pounds.
Volvo will be attempting to break heavy-duty truck speed records when they put the rig on the track on Wednesday, August 24th. The video will be posted on their YouTube channel.
