A motorist’s dash cam recently caught a semi truck on film losing control in rainy conditions and crashing into a concrete barrier in Las Vegas.

The accident happened on Tuesday, January 9th, and was filmed during an uncommon downpour on Interstate 15 in Las Vegas, Nevada that brought an inch and a half of rain to the desert area.

The footage was recorded by Junwyn Augustin, who submitted the clip to local news channels.

In the video, Augustin’s rearview dash cam shows the truck suddenly begin to swerve, careening across two lanes before jackknifing in front of another oncoming semi.

“I was coming from 515 to I-15 and I tried getting away from these two trucks as soon as the lane cleared and then this happened behind me,” Augustin wrote of the incident.

The crash closed all but one lane of I-15, though it is not clear if any injuries were sustained in the accident.

The video has left viewers voicing their own opinions about driving near big rigs in the rain.

“He was driving too fast for conditions trailer was empty. Hydroplane on water look closely car filming makes a jump on water the truck does it and loses control,” wrote one user.

“All these people ragging on the driver. Ever driven anything bigger than your car? No? Well when a steer tire goes at highway speeds – you’re along for the ride,” added another.
