Two men were hospitalized after a semi truck drove through the wall of a business in southwestern Michigan early Thursday morning.

It happened in Watervliet Township, Michigan, off of I-94 at approximately 2:48 a.m.

According to Wood TV, the tractor trailer was driving east on I-94 when the driver lost control, sending the big rig off the side of the road.

The truck then crashed into the side of Lane Automotive, activating the fire suppression sprinklers inside the building, flooding an office space.

The driver and his passenger were helped from the tractor trailer by a Lane Automotive employee.

Both men were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Michigan Police believe the driver may have fallen asleep while driving. The passenger was also asleep at the time of the incident.

The truck driver was ticketed for careless driving.
