If you were stuck on the Golden Gate Bridge last week and wondered what caused the massive traffic congestion, it may have been due to two four-hooved mammals prancing along the highway.

Two deer were spotted heading northbound as they trotted along the bridge, causing a halt to the flow of traffic.

California Highway Patrol attempted to catch up to the deer, but were also stuck in the traffic caused by their breakaway. The deer eventually made it to the other side safely, successful crossing from San Francisco to Marin County, California.
