
A truck driver was stabbed earlier this month, after a dispute with another driver at a truck stop’s fuel pumps.
It happened Saturday, June 3rd at the Pilot Travel Center on Mt. Olive Road in Toms Brook, Virginia.
According to WZRV, the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office says that the two drivers were at the Pilot fuel pumps, when a dispute over the positioning of the trucks erupted. One of the truckers pulled a knife and stabbed the other in the chest around 5:30 p.m.
The stabbed trucker sustained two chest wounds and was taken to the hospital. He was released from care on two days later.
The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office is still in search of the suspect, who left the scene of the incident before police could arrive.
Police believe this was a stand-alone incident and that the escaped driver is not a danger to the public.
The suspect in question is an African-American male who was wearing red shorts and a white shirt at the time of the incident. The suspect was driving a white 2011 Freightliner hauling a white trailer with an Illinois license plate reading: P897703.
