A news reporter captured footage of a truck driver rescuing a stranded woman, who was standing on a vehicle that was partially submerged on a flooded road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

It happened under an overpass on Bluebonnet Blvd, near the Mall of Lousiana, on Monday evening.

Several hours of severe rain fell during a three-hour period earlier in the day, leading to flooding on roads and highways in the area and causing several motorists to become stranded.

WBRZ sports reporter Brandon Saho was taking photos of the flooded roads and happened to catch this footage of a red and black Peterbilt truck pulling up to one stranded motorist and helping her to safety. The truck then continues forward, through high water and onto safer land.
