A trucker was found dead in his rig at a Pilot Flying J’s in North Dakota over the weekend.

The unidentified man was discovered on Sunday morning, November 5th, at approximately 9:45 a.m. in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

According to WDay News, police were notified of the body by one of the man’s coworkers, who showed officers to the cab of the truck where the 48-year-old Windsor, Ontario man was found.

Upon investigation of the scene, police said they do not suspect that foul play, drugs, alcohol, or even the cold weather came into play.

“At this point, everything is leading to natural causes,” said Police Sgt. Jay Middleton of the Grand Forks Police Department.

“It looks like he had been there for maybe a day or two,” Middleton continued.

The trucker’s body was then taken to the University of North Dakota for an autopsy, where his exact cause of death is still under investigation.

The driver’s name has not yet been released pending notification of family.
