A local news station captured footage of a trucker being extricated from the cab of his truck, after it was blown over by strong winds.

The accident happened on Sunday, November 26th in Reno, Nevada.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the truck was traveling south on US 395 when it was blown over by 75mph winds. The driver of the truck became trapped inside the rig after it overturned.

The trucker had to be extricated from the cab by several emergency crews using two large tow trucks, but was alert and responsive the entire time. He was later transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition, reported KTVN.

Northbound US 395 at the Red Rock exit was shut down for several hours as crews worked to upright the wrecked rig and clear the debris from the roadway.

US 395 has since been completely reopened, and the truck driver is expected to make a full recovery.

Local KTVN Channel 2 caught some of the extrication as it was happening live. Check out the footage below.
