
A truck driver was forced to remove his clothing before being bound, robbed, and abandoned in the woods in Pennsylvania.
The assault occurred early on Monday, October 2nd in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania at approximately 2:30 a.m. The couple responsible for the assault were arrested on Saturday morning, October 7th in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.
According to The Sentinel, 47-year-old John. W. Williams and 45-year-old Charmayne P. Maddy approached the unidentified truck driver as he was walking through an abandoned lot, on his way back to his truck, which was parked in a Petro truck stop near Carlisle.
Williams and Maddy then drove the trucker to Millers Gap Road in Rye Township, Pennsylvania. The couple then forced the trucker to remove his clothes and taped him up with duct tape before taking his keys, phone, and wallet.
The pair then fled the scene in a 2014 Chevy Silverado pickup, armed with a 12 gauge shotgun.
The trucker was left abandoned and bound in the woods until he was discovered by a hunter at approximately 7:15 a.m.
The truck driver’s debit card was used at several ATMs in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. It is not clear how much money was taken.
Williams and Maddy face charges of robbery, theft and access device fraud, and unlawful restraint.
