An Ohio truck stop is hosting a “Driver Appreciation Days” festival, complete with free food and live entertainment.

The event will start on Wednesday, August 9th at the Truck World Inc. truck stop at 6985 Truck World Boulevard in Hubbard, Ohio, just off Interstate 80. The festivities will run through Friday, August 11th.

Truck World Inc. has been around for 46 years and just opened a second location in North Jackson, Ohio.

“We just want to give back a little bit to our community, to our loyal customers, especially our truck drivers who have helped support us through all these years,” said Erin Burke of Truck World Inc.

Contests, free lunches, and other giveaways will be available to CDL licensed drivers from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Live music will be performed all three nights from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be free and open to everyone. The acts that will be performing include Southern Detour, Northern Whiskey, Dwayne Dopsie, and the Zydeco Hellraisers.

Friday will host the main event, a Louisiana-themed party called the Boogaloo Cajun Fest.

“We are based here in Hubbard and this truck stop opened in 1971, and we’ve been running it ever since then,” added Burke.

This is the 5th Annual “Driver Appreciation Days” hosted by Truck World Inc.
