A truck driver has taken to Facebook to warn others after a motorist blew a hole through his rig with a shotgun.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, October 18th at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Highway 40 in Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada.
According to his Facebook post, truck driver Matt Forsythe was driving south on Highway 40 when a Ford pickup come towards the truck in the northbound lanes. As the pickup drove alongside the semi truck, Forsythe heard a loud noise, and the pickup pulled away. Forsythe then pulled over to the shoulder to inspect his rig and discovered a large hole blown through his tanker truck with a shotgun.
Luckily, no one was injured in the incident.
“Be careful out there drivers and be extra vigilant,” Forsythe wrote.
“I would also like to thank the DOT officer that stopped and stayed with me during the whole ordeal. Thank you officer Lockseth,” Forsythe continued.
After the post was made, other drivers quickly began commenting and sympathizing with the trucker, sharing the post nearly 13,500 times.
“I just got an email from my company, apparently, there’s been 3 shootings on Hwy 40 all commercial vehicles. Be safe!!” commented Facebook user Rebecca McCann wrote.
“The Royal Canadian Mounted Police were contacted and made aware. If anybody else has experienced this within the last few days please contact me,” Forsythe added.
