A truck driver ruptured his fuel tank trying to drive over a raised median early Monday, spilling diesel fuel and forcing the closure of several lanes.
The spill happened at approximately 5 a.m. on November 6th, outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
A tractor trailer was driving on Roosevelt Boulevard at 9 th Street when it tried to drive over a grassy median, reported CBS Philly.
As the truck attempted to cross the median, it’s fuel tank got caught and ruptured, spilling approximately 75 gallons of diesel fuel on the roadway.
No one was hurt in the incident, but 3 lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard were shut down for several hours as crews worked to clean up the mess, reducing traffic flow to a crawl.
As of 6:00 p.m., traffic was still heavy in the area.
