
A truck driver was killed early Thursday morning after being threatened with a machete and then run over.
It happened in the Allapatah neighborhood in Miami, Florida at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 6th.
According to NBC Miami, the semi truck driver got into an argument with an employee of the Valero gas station on Northwest 36th Street and Northwest 32nd Avenue. The argument led to the employee retrieving a machete from his car. The truck driver then took off running down Northwest 36th Street.

While running on the road, the truck driver was hit by an oncoming KIA vehicle.
Miami police are still unsure whether the truck driver died of his stab wounds or from being hit by the car. The driver of the Kia remained at the scene after striking the driver.

An investigation into the truck driver’s exact cause of death is currently underway.
The identities of the truck driver, the machete-wielding suspect, or the driver of the car have not yet been released.
