
A man is behind bars in Kentucky after holding a trucker at gunpoint and stealing his semi truck.
It happened on Sunday, September 3rd in Gallatin County, Kentucky at approximately 1:15 a.m.
According to the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Department, a trucker was stopped at a Pilot Truck Stop at exit 28 in Henry County when Christopher Pinguely climbed into the cab of his truck and pointed a gun at him. The driver then exited the semi truck and Pinguely drove away in the tractor trailer.
Police found the big rig traveling north on Interstate 71 near mile marker 54 and followed the truck to a truck plaza at exit 62.
Police surrounded the vehicle and discovered a semi-automatic rifle in the passenger seat of the truck.
Pinguely was then arrested and taken to the Carroll County Detention Center on charges of armed robbery.
The truck driver was not injured in the incident. His name has not been released.
