The driver of a truck has been charged for an accident that occurred earlier this month, when a motorist rear ended his truck and a crashed into a load of metal pipes.

We originally reported on the terrifying incident when it happened, back on Thursday, March 9th. In the crash, an SUV driven by Philip Roklen rear-ended the truck on southbound Interstate 17 in Phoenix, causing the load of pipes it was hauling to penetrate the SUV’s windshield.

On March 22nd, local 3TV News reported that the driver of the truck was charged because his load was not properly marked.

The metal pipes penetrated all the way to the driver’s headrest. Roklen, the driver of the SUV, suffered an eye injury and spent more than a week in the hospital, but has since been released.
