A truck driver was busted with 715 pounds of marijuana while entering the Tinker Air Force Base late last week.

It happened on June 15, at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

According to US News, Ashot Grigoryan was trying to enter the Air Force base to make a scheduled delivery when an officer inspected his truck.

The agent reportedly found 715 pounds of raw marijuana and 35 boxes of marijuana oil hidden amongst $25,000 worth of the frozen chicken.

Investigators believe the driver was planning on delivering the illegal load from California to New Jersey after delivering his legitimate load to the base.

“This could be what he does,” said Mark Woodward, a representative of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, reported KOCO News.

“He makes legitimate deliveries around the country, but makes side money by putting contraband on his truck,” Woodward suggested.

Grigoryan was taken to jail on charges of trafficking a controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle for drug-related activity but was released on $45,000 bail.

He is already on probation for a previous trafficking case in Missouri in which he disguised 800 pounds of marijuana as stir-fry sauce. Grigoryan is now being faced with potential state and federal charges.

Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics claims that Grigoryan is not cooperating with them and that he seems “willing to take the fall for this to protect other people.”

“This is obviously something that he had done before,” Woodward concluded.
