A tractor trailer tipped while attempting to pass beneath a short bridge Monday, wedging the semi truck beneath the overpass and leaving it balancing on the passenger side wheels.

The accident occurred on December 11th in Douglass, Pennsylvania.

Police say the driver tried to pass beneath the 12-foot-4-inch bridge on Farmington Avenue but got stuck, wedging the tractor trailer beneath the bridge at an angle, leaving the rig balancing on only the passenger side wheels.

The semi truck was hauling refrigerated products at the time of the incident and was fully loaded according to The Mercury News.

Farmington Avenue had to be shut down for several hours as crews worked to remove the tractor trailer form beneath the bridge. The accident has since been cleared and the road reopened.
