Perkins Specialized Transportation was commissioned to carry four 800,000 pound generators on a 850 mile journey from California to Utah.

With a load this massive, an extreme amount of planning and preparation had to take place. No ordinary trailers would work, so they created custom trailers, 300 feet long with 192 wheels.

The Minnesota based company used Mack Titans to pull the huge load, powered by a Mack MP10 engine with 600 hp and 2000 ft-lb of torque.

Some believe it’s the largest load ever hauled in the U.S., with each generator weighing over 400 tons.

Would you want to give this challenging load a shot or leave the (potential) headaches for some one else? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
