1 teenager was killed, and another seriously injured after stealing a car and fleeing police before crashing into the back of a semi truck earlier this week.

The incident happened on Wednesday, November 15th at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Route 130 in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

According to CBS Philadelphia, an unidentified teenager was driving a stolen car southbound on Route 130 at a high rate of speed when a police officer tried to pull the vehicle over. Instead of coming to a stop on the shoulder, the teenage driver accelerated, crashing into the back of a FedEx semi truck.

The force of the impact crushed the front of the sedan, seriously injuring the driver. The sedan’s passenger, 15-year-old Kassidy Bush, was killed in the accident.

The unidentified trucker was not hurt.

Route 103 was shut down for several hours as crews cleared the wreckage, but has since been reopened.

The incident is still under investigation.
