A mobile home that was left on the side of a winding mountain road in Tennessee has snarled traffic and caused heavy delays this week.

It happened in Sevier County, Tennessee on Bluff Mountain Road on Monday, May 22nd.

According to WVLT local news, a truck was transporting a mobile home up Bluff Mountain Road when it encountered a curve in the path that it could not pass. The road was shut down for over 3 hours while attempts were made to get the house around the curve safely.

Eventually, the driver for the company that sold the Amish Log Home gave up and left the house in the road as far out of the way as they could.

Guardrails added to the mountain road in the last year have made what used to be a common sight an impossible task for trucks hauling large loads such as mobile homes.

The owner of the home says that the house, while “a little bit in the road,” is not presenting a danger.

The company that sold the home plans to return to the site by early Thursday morning to finish the job.

How the company or the owner is going to manage the move is still unclear.
