A single tractor trailer crash on the northbound side of Interstate 75 led to a crash between four semi trucks on the opposite side of the highway yesterday evening.

It happened on Thursday, June 22nd at approximately 6:29 p.m. in Lowndes County, Georgia near mile marker 2.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, Walid Omar was driving his 2004 Volvo tractor trailer northbound on I-75 when he crashed into a guardrail for unknown reasons. The impact damaged the railing, causing pieces of it to obstruct a southbound lane on the other side of the highway.
