According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, the oncoming car seen in the video launched a gallon-sized jug of water at the trucker’s windshield. The windshield instantly smashes and the trucker is forced forward from the impact.
After reviewing the footage, Detective Michael Golson believed a freeze frame depicted an outline of an individual launching the bottle from the back seat of the vehicle. But this is not certain. Regardless, it is obvious that the weapon used was a water bottle, and it came from the passing car.
Golson noted that:
“We did recover a bottle inside the vehicle and it did have some DNA evidence on it, and it’s currently being tested at the Alabama Dept. of Forensics.”
