
A truck driver was ticketed after striking an overpass and losing his load earlier this week.
It happened on Interstate 10 in Houston, Texas on Monday, June 26th.
According to KHOU, the big rig was unable to pass underneath the 14 foot 3-inch bridge and struck the ceiling of the overpass.

An empty shipping container then came loose from the truck’s flatbed trailer and landed in the middle of the highway, hitting another car.
The woman in the car was taken to the hospital but is expected to make a full recovery.

The truck driver was not injured in the incident.
Another car hit a piece of metal fallen from the bridge. but was uninjured.

Traffic was diverted around the incident, causing slowdowns, but I-10 has since been fully reopened.
The Texas Department of Transportation says that the bridge will need to be inspected.
The truck driver was issued a ticket for a hauling a trailer that was too tall.
