A big rig’s windshield was shattered yesterday morning on Interstate 25 in Broomfield, Colorado, making it the ninth vehicle to have it’s windshield shattered on the road in the last 3 weeks alone.

Police believe that road debris caused the incident. Rusty Jackson of Blue Ribbon Auto Glass in Denver, told ABC7 that Colorado’s weather patterns are to blame.

The average lifespan of a windshield in Colorado is basically six months,” he said, adding “Because glass is also impacted by temperature changes. And how often have you seen it drop 30 degrees in 20 to 30 minutes?

The driver of the big rig was treated for minor injuries from the shattered glass.
