A tractor trailer burst into flames on Interstate 35 after being cut off by a motorist and driving into a highway guardrail.

It happened on Tuesday, August 1st in Denton, Texas at approximately 11:30 a.m. near the University of North Texas campus.

According to KGNS, another driver cut off the semi truck, sending it crashing into the guardrail. After striking the guardrail several times, the rig’s fuel tank burst into flames.

The driver of the rig was able to escape without serious injuries. No one else was hurt.

The highway was shut down for several hours while crews extinguished the fire and cleared the scene. The highway has since reopened.
