A crash involving 2 semi trucks left butter strewn across a California highway on Sunday.
It happened on October 8th in Kern County, California.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a tractor trailer was traveling north on Highway 99 when it lost control and crashed into the center median. The force of the impact caused the truck to overturn and land in the southbound lanes, reported Turnto23.
A second semi truck traveling in the southbound lanes then crashed into the first semi truck, causing the second tractor trailer to overturn as well.
No injuries were reported.
One of the tractor trailers was hauling a load of butter, which was strewn across the highway in the accident.
Kern County Environmental Health was called to the scene to assess the environmental impact of the spilled butter.
All lanes of Highway 99 south were shut down for several hours, with traffic creeping by on the right shoulder.
The lanes were reopened at approximately noon.
