A semi truck slid off a mountain road in Montana on Thursday morning, leaving the truck hanging off an embankment by one axle.

The accident happened on April 5th at approximately 10:00 a.m. on the East side of Rogers Pass.

According to the Great Falls Tribune, the tractor trailer was traveling along Highway 200 when the icy conditions caused it to slide off the roadway and down an embankment, the back end of the rig hanging from a guardrail.

Miraculously, the truck driver was not injured in the accident, but the highway was blocked off for around seven hours as crews worked to retrieve the semi truck and clear the roadway.

The guardrail is said to have suffered significant damage in the crash.

The truck driver was not issued any citations for the incident.
