
A truck driver forgot to set his parking brake at a truck stop in North Carolina on Thursday, sending his semi crashing through a storefront across the street.
The incident happened on January 11th at approximately 6:15 p.m. in Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to local Fox 6 News, the unidentified truck driver was stopped at the Pilot Travel Center on 2135 Tipton Dr., waiting to fuel up when he exited his truck and entered the Pilot store, but forgot to set his parking brake.
When he returned to his truck, he found it across the street. The truck had rolled through the parking lot, across the street, down a hill, and into a Carolinas Auto Supply House building.
One person was injured in the accident, but their identity and condition have not been released.
The wreck has since been cleared, but incident is still under investigation. No citations have been issued.
