Police arrested two men after discovering $1.5 million dollars worth of heroin in a semi truck while conducting a roadside inspection in Eddyville, Kentucky.

According to News Channel 5, Kentucky State Police stopped the truck on Interstate 24, on Monday evening, around 7:00 p.m.

While inspecting the vehicle, they found a “small amount of heroin” in the cab and arrested driver Roberto Orozco and passenger Alberto Leal-Martinez.

 

Authorities then searched the rest of the truck and discovered an additional 33 pounds of heroin, with an estimated street value of $1.5 million.

Both Utah men were charged with aggravated trafficking in heroin, a class B felony.
