Police say a tractor trailer was parked ‘partially on the roadway’ leading to a crash that shut down I-85 for hours on Friday morning.

The crash happened on July 28th at approximately 5:45 a.m. in Townsville, South Carolina on Interstate 85.

According to Fox Carolina, a tractor trailer was improperly parked in the emergency lane on northbound I-85 and was partially blocking a lane on the highway. Another semi truck pulling double trailers then clipped the end of the parked tractor trailer and jackknifed across the highway.

Both drivers were uninjured in the accident.

The interstate shut down on both sides for cleanup but was completely reopened by noon. The parked truck driver was given a citation for improper parking.

A motorist captured the following footage from the scene.
