A truck driver was arrested after overdosing on heroin and jackknifing his tractor trailer on Interstate 74 in Ohio last week.

It happened on Friday, August 18th in Hamilton County, Ohio.

Scotty R. Kinmon was traveling west on I-74 when he began slowing to a stop on the highway. The semi truck began rolling backward, then jackknifed and hit a guardrail.

Nearby motorists discovered Kinmon unresponsive in the driver’s seat and removed him from his truck and started CPR. Police officers arrived and gave Kinmon Narcan, a drug used in opiate overdose situations. Kinmon then became responsive and was transported to a nearby hospital.

According to investigators, Kinmon had passed out from a heroin overdose while driving, reported Local 12.

Kinmon was later taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center, where he faces charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operation of a commercial vehicle while under the influence, and failure to maintain control of his vehicle.

This is not the first time Kinmon has faced such charges. According to Hamilton County court records, on July 24th, just last month, Kinmon was also found overdosing on heroin in his truck. At that time, he was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Kinmon is currently being held on $320,000 bond.
