
A police chase involving a semi truck ended in a flaming crash and a police standoff in Arlington, Texas.
The chase, which started in Fort Worth, continued on eastbound Interstate 30 until the big rig came to a fiery stop after crashing into a car and a barrier wall.
According to CBS local, the truck initially took off during a traffic stop on Interstate 30 at Beach Street. The driver plowed through traffic at a high rate of speed, running cars off the highway and even hitting some of them in an attempt to escape the police.
The tractor trailer is responsible for at least four crashes along I-30, reports state.
Update #1 (2:28 p.m.):
The big rig is currently stopped on I-30 and is no longer on fire. The driver is believed to be the only individual in the truck.
Police have barricaded the truck against the barrier wall and are holding a standoff with the suspect.
Police are turning the scene over to the SWAT team for a forced entry into the cab of the truck.

Update #2 (3:20 p.m.):
Police have pulled a man out the cab of the truck (initial reports incorrectly said the suspect was a woman) and the standoff has come to an end.
