
Interstate 94 in Michigan has reopened after a 29 vehicle pileup shut down a stretch of the highway on Friday morning.
The accident occurred on February 2nd at approximately 9:20 a.m. in Hartford Township, Michigan.
Troopers say that the 29 vehicle pile up, involving 17 semi trucks and 12 other vehicles, happened on I-94 near mile marker 45 during heavy snow.
At least one person was pinned inside their vehicle as a result of the crash, but the extent of that person’s injuries, as well as any other injuries sustained in the incident, are not known, reported Fox News.
I-94 was shut down at mile marker 45 for several hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the crash, but the roadway was reopened around 12:30 p.m.
Following the wreck, Michigan State Police are urging drivers to slow down and give each other space in snowy conditions such as these.
