One trucker, who believes he was ripped off by a Thermo King service shop in Millbury, Ohio, recently posted this story online, with the hopes of warning others.

YouTuber Trucker Rudi reached out to us about his negative experience.

In his video, Rudi shared a conversation he had with a Thermo King Manager.

Rudi explained to the manager that he was in the shop for a total 2 hours and 8 minutes while getting his alternator changed, but then was charged for two hours overtime and one hour of regular time. He told the manager that he had the times recorded on his dash cam. When the trucker insisted that he was being overcharged, the manager explained that it was the price that he had to pay.

Prior to his visit, a manager explained to Rudi that the shop closed at 5, and afterward they would need to charge him over time. To this, Rudi agreed. He arrived at 4 p.m. and by 6 p.m., they were done working.

Ten minutes later he got handed a bill for $891.

When Rudi asked for an explanation, he was told that they still had to shut down the shop, and they would charge him for that time.

Rudi doesn’t think he should have to pay for time spent outside of them working on his truck.

Before he uploaded the video to his website and YouTube, Rudi said that he tried to resolve the issue privately.  He told the company manager that if the issue couldn’t be handled between them, then he would share it with the public.

The manager asked Rudi to send him the footage of the dash cam which showed the time that he arrived and left the shop.

Rudi complied and was sent the following email.

Rudi created this video as a warning to the public and as a message to big businesses who take advantage of people.

He ended the video by calling Thermo King a “dirty business,” and stated, “what goes around comes around.” Rudi asks that everyone share his story to help spread the word.
