A motorist told police that he crashed into the back of a parked tractor trailer because the sun was in his eyes.
It happened on September 29th at approximately 7:30 a.m. in Danbury, Connecticut.
According to Cortlandt Daily Voice, a sedan was traveling east on Interstate 84 near the exit 2 on-ramp when it crashed into the back of a flatbed semi truck parked on the right shoulder of the ramp.
The impact forced the car beneath the trailer and crushed the front end of the sedan.
The motorist was transported to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The driver of the car claims that the glare from the sun restricted his vision, causing him to swerve out of his lane and crash into the back of the stopped semi truck.
Crews worked to clean up the mess until approximately 8:45 a.m.
