One person is dead after colliding with a tractor-trailer that was traveling the wrong way on Highway 78.
It happened on Monday, October 2nd at approximately 7:30 a.m. in Marshall County, Mississippi.
According to Local Memphis, a tractor trailer was traveling east in the westbound lanes on Highway 78 near the Red Banks exit when it collided with a pickup truck head-on.

The driver of the pickup was killed in the accident. No other injuries have been reported.

Officials are currently investigating the incident. It is not yet known why the truck driver was traveling the wrong way on the highway.

The identity of both drivers have not yet been released.
The westbound lanes of Highway 78 have been shut down as crews clean up the mess. As of 11:54 a.m., traffic is being detoured off of the highway near the Red Banks exit.
